ON: URGENT CALL TO ACTION - Natural gas expansion

• CPA President & CEO Nathalie St-Pierre wrote to Premier Ford on behalf of over 120 Ontario members and the 100,000 consumers of affordable propane, urgently requesting a meeting with the Premier and his senior staff to immediately discuss the association’s grave concerns.
  
  • In her letter, St-Pierre expressed members’ strong expectation that the Ford government meet with the CPA to fully discuss our industry’s concerns, before any legislation is tabled. St-Pierre advised Premier Ford, "The effect of allowing natural gas companies to subsidize expansion through taxing existing customers, even at a later date, is not a fair market-based approach and will not reduce costs over the long-term.”
