CPA held its 2019 Atlantic Seminar and Golf Tournament at Rodd Crowbush Resort in Morell, PE on June 12-13. Approximately 40 delegates attended, making it one of the most successful CPA events in Atlantic Canada.
The CPA was pleased to have the Honourable Dennis King, Premier & President of Executive Council for PE, as a key speaker. He delivered an important announcement in his opening statement: the inclusion of propane school buses in the provincial fleet as early as 2020. The seminar also included Superior Propane's Director of Auto Propane Hugh Sutherland who presented on auto activities in Atlantic Canada; Senior Program Officer, Environmental Protection Operations Directorate Gerard Chisholm discussed updates on the E2 program for environmental emergency regulations; Manager of Inspection Services Agriculture and Land, PEI Glenda Mackinnon-Peters provided updates on the Canadian Registration Number agreement process; Director of Provincials Affairs, NB and PE for the Canadian Federation of Business Louis-Philippe Pelletier spoke about the federal carbon levy and the exclusion of propane from almost any exemptions; and President of Emergency Response Assistance Canada Spencer Buckland provided an update on ERAC activities.
