The Canadian Propane Association has requested intervenor status in Heritage Gas Limited’s application to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board for approval to extend and modify its Customer Retention Program pursuant to Section 22 of the Gas Distribution Act.
The Customer Retention Program provides Heritage Gas with flexibility to change its Base Energy Charge within a certain band for commercial customers consuming more than 500 GJs per year, enabling Heritage to remain competitive with alternate energy prices and, thereby, retain customers on its natural gas system.
This matter will proceed by way of written submissions. The CPA was an intervenor a few years ago when the Customer Retention Program was initially granted.
As part of its intervenor submission regarding the new application, the CPA has filed Information Requests and is seeking, “evidentiary justification for the extension and modification of the Customer Retention Program.
