At a February 4, 2021 webinar hosted by the Ontario Energy Association, opportunities were presented for hydrogen and a transition to net-zero emissions in the province. Plans were outlined for hydrogen technology development, including pipelines along new corridors linking Chicago and Montreal, and adoption in Ontario and across North America.
Ontario Government Relations Director, Marcelline Riddell, who attended the event, asked about the amount of investment envisioned for the development of this sector, but no information was provided on the amount of public funds contemplated for these initiatives.
