The first gallons of renewable propane were delivered last week to Virginia, which became the first state in the commonwealth to use renewable propane in a vehicle fleet (police and shuttle vehicles).
Petersburg has converted 49 vehicles from gasoline to auto propane to use the cleanest form of propane produced yet. The vehicles running on renewable propane have a lower lifetime carbon footprint than electric vehicles and produce low emissions at a fraction of the cost of electric vehicles.
At the point of combustion, renewable propane’s carbon intensity is four times lower than conventional propane and five times lower than diesel.
