The CPA will work cooperatively with the Association québécoise du propane to challenge a bill introduced by Québec Minister Pierre Moreau that would promote the establishment of a public fast-charging service for electric vehicles.

Cutting back on Canada’s biggest source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions will pose significant challenges for its oil and gas sector but is essential to making good on the country’s commitment to fight climate change, the Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources said in a report released last month.
 
The Régie du bâtiment du Québec published a list of criteria for which existing gas-fired equipment would require new approvals (French only) to comply with articles 2.04 and 2.05 of chapter II - Gas, of the Québec Construction Code.
 
Nova Scotia has joined the Western Climate Initiative (WCI) Inc. as the province develops a new cap and trade carbon pricing program required by the federal government by the end of the year.
 
Supreme Tank Inc, the largest propane tank refurbishment company in Atlantic Canada, has received $200,000 in funding from the federal government to meet increasing demand for its products.
