A long-standing issue for the residents of Churchill, Manitoba is about to come to an end following a deal to sell the flood-damaged line leading to the remote town of Churchill, which has been without a land route since the railway flooded in May 2017.

In its August 2 pre-budget submission to the House of Commons Finance Committee, the CPA advocated that the expanded use of propane will provide for a cleaner environment for Canadians as well as stimulate job creation. The association said this can be achieved through funding and incentivizing Canadians to switch to low-emission propane.

Election Day is coming to New Brunswick and Québec. In New Brunswick, people will go to the polls on September 24. In Québec, voting day is set for October 1. While in both provinces the early days have focused primarily on issues such as health and education, there have been announcements and platform agenda items from the various political parties that would be of interest to CPA members in Québec and New Brunswick.
