CPA members and staff participated in the Forward Summit held February 26-28 in Calgary, AB. Attended by over 400 delegates, it provided important insight and networking opportunities as the CPA continues to develop its Indigenous outreach program. Superior Propane, Parkland Fuels as well as CPA’s subsidiary, Emergency Response Assistance Canada, joined the CPA.

The CPA and its members hosted a successful Lobby Day at Queen’s Park in Toronto on February 20, 2019. Over 25 members and CPA staff participated in 20 meetings with a number of key government ministers, staff and MPPs from all political parties and regions of the province.

The CPA has completed pre-budget submissions for Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick to help the provinces reduce their energy costs and GHG emissions, providing a number of recommendations.

On February 28, CPA President & CEO Nathalie St-Pierre and Director of Government Relations, Québec and Atlantic Canada Jean-François Duguay met with N.B. Environment and Local Government Minister Jeff Carr to discuss the game-changing advantages of propane and to ensure the inclusion of the CPA and the propane industry during future provincial policy and program development.

On January 28, Transport Canada launched its new system, ERAP online services (EOS); EOS replaces the previous manual ERAP application process. This new system changes how ERAPs are managed, updated and renewed.
