Currently, each province has its own registration process, so when a new boiler and pressure vessel equipment is to be used in multiple provinces, it must be registered multiple times. The Standards Council of Canada, tasked by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement’s Regulatory Reconciliation and Cooperation Table, has been working with the provinces to address this issue and agree on an approach to mutually recognize design reviews across Canada.
