Trainers and Examiners Must Ensure Students Successfully Complete Training Package to Pass

Print this Article

A number of courses from the Canadian Propane Association (CPA) / Propane Training Institute (PTI)  are recognized by Authorities Having Jurisdiction. This recognition is received based on a complete training package (workbook and exam).  Accordingly, in order for the CPA / PTI to issue a certificate, the student must successfully pass both the written and practical exams. Consequently, trainers and examiners must ensure that all written questions and mandatory practical hands-on tasks are evaluated; otherwise, the student automatically fails and a certificate will not be issued.

We remind trainers and examiners to ensure that each student:

  • is provided with the most current version of the Student Workbook;
  • successfully completes the written portion of the exam; and
  • successfully demonstrates the correct procedures to be followed for the tasks outlined in the Practical Hands-on exam.

For additional information, please contact CPA / PTI at training@propane.ca or 1-877-784-4636.
