ON: Bi-annual Meeting of the Propane Advisory Council

A Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) Propane Advisory Council (PAC) meeting, presided over by PAC Chair, Dave Karn, owner of Dowler-Karn, took place on March 8, 2018. During the meeting, the November 9, 2017 meeting minutes and other procedural items were approved. Acting President and CEO David Scriven also announced that TSSA’s new President and CEO, Bonnie Rose, will assume her role on April 4, 2018. Other meeting news included an update on the TSSA fiscal year 2019 fee review and timeline, and Shranna Jaggernath, Senior Policy Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, provided general information regarding Public Service Responsibilities and Procedures Leading Up to and During the Election Period.

The PAC also discussed several priority issues including card lock/key record of training, original equipment manufacturers propane labels, and mandatory training for all fuels certificate holders.
