NS: Fuel Safety Code Adoption

The Nova Scotia Technical Safety Division announced that changes to the Technical Safety Standards Regulations came into effect on March 8, 2018 following the adoption of new editions of CSA codes by Fuel Safety.

The new editions of the codes affecting propane are:

CSA B149.1-15
CSA B149.2-15
CSA B149.3-15
CSA B149.5-15
CSA B149.6-15

Any regulated work that commences after March 8, 2018 must comply with the requirements of the new editions. Inspections carried out by Fuel Safety staff after April 1, 2018 will be performed using the new code editions and the industry will be expected to be in full compliance.
