BC: TSBC Directive on Gas Contractor Responsibilities

Technical Safety BC has issued a directive on gas contractor responsibilities that clarifies notification requirements that permit holders must comply with when submitting declarations for installation permits.
 
Gas Safety Regulations s.34 requires the holder of a permit or the gas fitter that represents the holder of the permit to notify Technical Safety BC that regulated work has been performed under the permit at the following times:

  1. Immediately upon completion of each phase of the gas system, and  
  2. Immediately upon final completion of regulated work.  

Notification can by made through an online account on the Technical Safety BC online portal or by submitting a Gas Notification of Completion, Installation or Alteration Form - 570.
