In late February, Technical Safety BC published Information Bulletin: Contractor Installation Permit Value Amendment Criteria to remind contractors that installation permits must be obtained before starting any regulated work. As per the Safety Standards General Regulations, the permit obtained must include the scope and value of the work, and a permit amendment must be requested and submitted if the scope or value of the work changes over the course of the project.
