NEW! N.S.: Fuel Safety Bulletin issued on Health Canada recalls for certain gas fireplaces and boilers
The Nova Scotia Labour and Advanced Education, Technical Safety Division, issued Fuel Safety Bulletin FS19-02 concerning recent recalls from Health Canada on propane and natural gas equipment.
The recall notices affect certain gas fireplaces and boilers. Owners of these types of equipment should consult the websites below to determine if their equipment is affected and follow the instructions provided in the recall notice.
- Certain models of Vitodens 200-W and Vitodens 222-F boilers: Carbon monoxide hazard recall notice
- Kingsman and Marquis Skyline II/III Gas Fireplaces: Fire hazard recall notice
If you are aware of any of this equipment currently in use in Nova Scotia, please ensure that the owners of the equipment are made aware of the recalls and take appropriate action to ensure their health and safety.
