NEW! Member Survey to address regulatory barriers – request for stakeholder comments

Print this Article

One of the key areas in the CPA’s three-year Strategic Plan announced last May is “Stimulating the adoption of appropriate and reasonable regulations without compromising safety.” As such, the Association is looking for member feedback on regulatory barriers at the federal and provincial levels as well as for any codes and standards.

The CPA has developed a survey that will be used to provide feedback to regulators across Canada as well as help focus CPA priorities. This is a key opportunity for members to comment on any legislation that they consider as unnecessary regulatory burden.

The CPA’s survey also encompasses an initiative currently underway by the Government of Canada that addresses regulatory modernization and red tape reduction on federal legislation. The CPA will use the answers from its survey to compile a joint industry response to the government’s red tape reduction initiative. For more details on the government’s initiative or to complete the government’s survey separately, please visit the Canada Gazette website. The deadline to comment is September 5, 2019.

Please fill out the survey or provide comments to Rebecca Keeler at rebeccakeeler@propane.ca by Friday, August 30.

Access the survey HERE.
