NEW! Federal – Compliance issues with highway tank facilities

Inspections by Transport Canada have found that highway tank facilities in different parts of the country have conducted work without being registered. Tanks that are assembled, modified, repaired, tested or inspected by these facilities are non-compliant with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. Recalls and notices of defective repair or testing have been sent to affected highway tank owners.

The CPA reminds members to renew their certification for their means of containment facilities and to ensure that the facilities they are using are certified by checking the company registration on the Transport Canada website located here.
