PTI launches two new courses to support the growing auto propane market
The Propane Training Institute launched two new courses to support the growing auto propane market on November 4, international Auto Propane Day:
- Filling Auto Propane Tanks for Fleets – 100-12
- Self-service Filling at Private Auto Propane Stations – 100-22
These courses are shorter, more focused and designed to adapt our training programs to the needs of the industry while maintaining our high safety standards, and ultimately reflecting advances in technology within our industry. The two courses are now available for trainers across Canada.
Available in all formats (printed, PDF or online) the course Filling Auto Propane Tanks for Fleets – 100-12 is designed to train individuals filling fleets.
Offered online only, the course Self-service Filling at Private Auto Propane Stations – 100-22 is designed to train customers using self-service private filling stations. This course meets the requirements of the recent Ontario regulation. It does not require a supervised exam or a hands-on practical evaluation and is entirely online.
Both courses can be purchased online on the CPA platform.

NEW. The CSA-B149.2 Propane Storage and Handling Code and provincial regulations requires that a person filling propane automotive tanks be properly trained in this function.
This course is designed for those who fill propane automotive tanks. It is a short course allowing fleet owners/drivers to effectively learn about refuelling with auto propane.
RECERTIFICATION IS EVERY 3 YEARS.

Prequalification: None
Note: This course includes both a written and practical hands-on examination.

ONLY OFFERED ONLINE.
NEW. As a propane fuel supplier providing access to a self-serve fuelling propane dispenser in private stations, you are required to ensure users complete training as per the CSA-B149.2 Propane Storage and Handling Code and provincial regulations.
This course is designed to efficiently train individuals filling auto propane vehicles in private stations.
THIS COURSE MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RECENT ONTARIO REGULATION.
RECERTIFICATION IS EVERY YEAR.

Note: The course does not require an examination or a practical exam.
