NEW – Federal: Measurement Canada announces fee reductions
Measurement Canada announced a small fee reduction recently, based on the annual change following the release of the Consumer Price Index.
As of April 1, 2021, members will see an adjustment of -0.2 per cent on fees received from Measurement Canada. This means a service that typically cost $1,042.44 last year will now cost $1,040.36.
Measurement Canada indicated that in those cases where fees span multiple years, the charges would commensurate with the fees expected during the fiscal year the service was initiated.
The announcement also indicated a new service standard for the fees being charged. Should the service provided not meet the service standard, a partial reimbursement will be provided. More information can be found on Measurement Canada’s web page.
