UPDATE – BC: Technical Safety BC announces fee hike

Technical Safety BC (TSBC) announced that effective May 17, 2021 their fees will increase by two per cent. The increase is being applied to funding education opportunities, compliance, and enforcement activities.

The CPA had learned of Technical SafetyBC’s plans to increase its fees earlier this year and had requested they reconsider the increase due to the difficult challenges members were already facing because of the pandemic. Unfortunately, the CPA’s efforts did not sway the agency.

CPA members who have been impacted by COVID-19 and who are supported through TSBC’s payment plan options may be eligible for partial or deferred payments, depending on the situation. Please email TSBC at: contact@technicalsafetybc.ca with “Payment plans” in the subject line to learn more.
