NEW – ON: New centralized inspection process for fuels

A new centralized system for scheduling inspection services is being implemented on April 15, 2022, as part of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s (TSSA) technology upgrades. 

The Authority states that this new system will allow customers to reach an agent promptly to request an inspection by calling 1-833-937-8772 Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, or emailing fuelsinspection@tssa.org. Inspections will be scheduled “based on standard lead times and priority levels.” 

CPA Director of Government Relations for Ontario, Marcelline Riddell, is seeking clarity from TSSA on response and inspection scheduling timelines that can be expected from the new system. CPA members will be provided with further information on the requirements and customer service standards of this new system when they become available.
