Gradual lifting of health measures brings an end to the extension of training certificates
The COVID-19 pandemic situation is improving daily across the country and provincial governments are now increasing the size of groups for public and private gatherings, indoors and outdoors, based on the dwindling number of cases.
The CPA continues to align its procedures with the recommendations of each province.
Since the start of the pandemic, the CPA and provincial authorities, with the exception of Newfoundland and Labrador, had implemented exemptions to extend the validity of training certificates to allow employees to continue to work despite the expiry of their certification. These exemptions were to remain in effect as long as the social distancing measures were applied.
Today, most provinces have eased or lifted their health measures and the CPA believes there are no longer any constraints limiting training or the recertification of employees.
Therefore, please not that all PTI expired certificates must be renewed withing 90 days of April 1, 2022.
You can review the guidelines for meetings in each province on Destination Canada's website.
