Last week, CPA’s Vice-President of Regulatory Affairs and Safety, Mélanie Levac, attended the Cooperative Hazardous Materials Enforcement Development Conference. The one-of-a-kind event is focused on regulations, enforcement and the safe transportation of dangerous goods.
Conference attendees included representatives from federal and state agencies, enforcement personnel, emergency planning managers and responders, academic institutions, interest groups and industry from across North America.
As industry liaisons, Mélanie Levac and Brian Kucharski of US Ecology presented the Law Enforcement Appreciation Award to COHMED Vice-Chair Phil Haskins of Public Utilities Commission of Ohio Transportation.
