The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015 deadline of December 1, 2018 is quickly approaching. To help employers and distributors with their WHMIS 2015 transition, Health Canada has published the two following fact sheets:
WHMIS is Canada’s national hazard communication standard. In 2011, the Government of Canada incorporated the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling for Chemicals (GHS) into WHMIS to align the hazard classification and communication requirements of WHMIS with those used in the U.S. and by other Canadian trading partners.
