On behalf of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and the Office of the Secretary of Transportation at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Directorate is requesting comments on regulatory guidance that should be repealed, replaced or modified. (Please note this request does not pertain to guidance related to commercial driver’s license requirements.)
Members are invited to downloard and review the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) report (regulatory guidance published up until March 1, 2016) and provide any feedback on guidance that needs to be modified or eliminated. Please note that CVSA has flagged any items that they are aware of, but welcome any additional feedback.
Any additional guidance not included in the report should be communicated as well. This could include any informal guidance that has been provided online, in frequently asked questions (FAQs) or through interpretations that have been sent by letter or email that should be incorporated as official regulatory guidance.
Please submit your comments to TC.TDGStakeholderInformation-InformationsintervenantsTMD.TC@tc.gc.ca by Friday, April 5. The TDG Secretariat will then compile all of the comments and submit them to CVSA.
