The CPA is pleased to welcome Rebecca Keeler as the new Vice-President, Regulatory Affairs and Safety.
Rebecca Keeler has a Bachelor of Applied Science, with Honours in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. She has six years of environmental and regulatory experience working as an Environmental and Regulatory Specialist at Imperial Oil and as an Industrial/Environmental Engineer at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER).
She has managed regulatory and environmental compliance for downstream assets in Canada, which has given her a broad understanding of provincial and federal legislation, codes and standards, and the opportunity to work with regulators across the country. She has experience in fields such as Transportation of Dangerous Goods, the National Fire Code, E2 Environmental Emergencies Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety and provincial fuels storage regulations. She has monitored regulatory change and ensured operations were meeting requirements, which includes potential updates to training and internal procedures.
As an Industrial Engineer, Rebecca has reviewed and coordinated environmental assessments for large industrial projects, which included guiding and mentoring a team of technical staff. Rebecca started May 6 and is based in the Calgary office. You can reach her by email at: rebeccakeeler@propane.ca.
