Transport Canada is hosting a webinar to present the finalized approach for the Client Identification Database.

The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Directorate is developing the Client Identification Database to require (unless exempted) all those who handle, offer for transport, transport or import dangerous goods in Canada, to register with Transport Canada by providing identifying information and details about their dangerous goods activities. The intent of the database is to provide an accurate and reliable inventory of TDG sites and activities to ensure regulatory oversight is consistent, risk based and able to keep pace with evolving and emerging safety risks.

The CPA is continuing to advocate to ensure the database is not repetitive of other registration processes and that it is simple to use.
