A recall notice has been issued for Valor H5 series fireplaces due to a laceration hazard. The recall involves the following products: 1150ILP Propane Gas (1150P20001 to 1150P20365) and 1150JLP Propane Gas (1150P20366 to 1150P21502). The model and serial number information is located on a card located on the right side of the fireplace box.
The use of the fireplaces over time may cause the pilot burner component to degrade causing a delay in the main burner ignition. The pressure from this delayed ignition may cause the glass front to break posing a laceration hazard. Consumers should stop using the affected fireplaces and contact the dealer where the fireplace was purchased to schedule a service to repair the fireplace burner.
