Federal: Transport Canada presents key findings on infraction study

The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Directorate presented key findings to General Advisory Policy Council  members on their analysis of repeated violations (recidivism) and as well as information on the nature of the non-compliances relating to Parts 3, 5 and 6 of the TDG Regulations.

Information discovered regarding the propane industry indicated that there were key portions that received the most infractions from 2018-2019. These are:

UN 1075 was identified as the forth highest industry having received infractions in the categories studied.

The feedback and discussion session on the 2018-19 Compliance Estimation Program (CEP) Supplementary Analysis was held on September 10, 2020. The presentation was followed by an open discussion forum to receive feedback, as well as obtain insights into topics of interest for the next round of analysis of CEP data from the 2019-20 inspection cycle.
