NEW – Federal: Transport Canada offers new forms for 30-day follow-up

The Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Directorate is introducing ‘modernized’ 30-Day Follow-Up Report Forms and their often-accompanying container specification forms. Transport Canada (TC) says the forms were redesigned to improve user experience and to help automate the data entry process once the completed forms arrive at TC. The amount and type of information collected via these forms have not changed.

Submitting a follow-up report to TC is a regulatory requirement outlined in Sections 8.6 and 8.11 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. The use of the reporting form and container specification forms will continue to remain voluntary; industry can choose to continue to use their own forms provided the form meets the requirements.
