The Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) is conducting site verification on the required declaration of the total capacity of propane facilities. The total capacity of a site represents the fixed capacities, transportable capacity and the aggregate portable tank capacity (non-connected tanks stored on-site). The RBQ has indicated they plan to visit 100% of facilities in Québec.
The RBQ points out that to avoid any infringement of the total capacity declared in your operating permit, the amount declared must be less than the total capacity declared in the facility’s risk assessment report. Therefore, if you plan to increase supply capacity for fixed, transit, or portable capacities, facilities are expected to accurately reassess the Risk Assessment Report to reflect any addition to the total capacity, thus ensuring the risk assessment report reflects the capacity change and the added risk that may be determined.
