The CPA has joined a Canadian Standards Association task force to begin work on including propane blends into the B149.5 Installation Code for propane fuel systems and containers on motor vehicles code. Current regulations do not include language for blends of renewable propane and renewable dimethyl ether (rDME). To prepare for the eventual availability of these propane blends, the task force will develop an annex specific to blends to help speed up the process to allow for blending within the codes.
