With the CN strike, the blockades and now COVID-19, this is a lot of stress on your teams and businesses within the past few months. The last compliance requirement to meet Environment and Climate Change Canada regulations states that by August 24, affected parties must: In the March 5th RA newsletter, Transport Canada requested any organization working directly with the rail industry to review and provide feedback on Rail Security requirements, Security Awareness Training and Security Plan Training. CPA members have responded to the call for feedback; you can view the CPA's response and member feedback to Transport Canada here. Congratulations to the winner of the Canadian Propane Association’s Photo contest, Jim Bellwood of Highlands Propane Inc.! Jim’s amazing shot won him a propane turkey fryer. A big thank you to Eco-Pro for sponsoring this contest and thanks to all who participated. Transport Canada has selected the CPA to participate in a peer review of certain issues in the TC regulations. The CPA’s feedback, along with other industry responses, will be used to determine which issues will receive funding for the review. The CPA has received the new equivalency certificate SU 13263 that allows CPA members to attach riveted plates onto TC Series-4 containers once they have been requalified. The equivalency certificate was issued on January 31, 2020 and is available on the CPA website. Free Access to CSA Standards
