After concerns were raised to the CPA about some bulk refuelling locations using vapour return while metering out product, we sought clarification from Measurement Canada who confirmed the requirement to NOT use vapour return lines when metering product due to the inaccuracies that are caused when the line is used. 

On June 7, 2022, the Canadian General Standards Board published the CGSB 43.147 Containers for transport of dangerous goods by rail (formerly standard TP14877e). This places the standard in a public review period with comments allowed until August 6, 2022.

Technical Safety BC announced virtual events and a consultation on Contractor Advertising Guidelines.

Alberta has released the following joint STANDATA bulletin 15-PCB-003/20-GCB-016[REV4] - Requirements for combination heating systems. 

The CPA has received a small concession from the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority after proposing reduced fees on refillable propane cylinders.

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority has provided a revised process for underground storage tank installations after meeting with the CPA and industry members who have long been advocating for simpler and less costly application processes and fees.
