Members be aware that Section 3.6.1 Consignor’s Certification of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulation specifies the declaration language that is required on a shipping document. The Consignor, who is in possession of the dangerous goods before transport, is responsible for preparing the shipping documents and including this declaration. This is a common inspection point for Transport Canada when they visit your sites. The Risk Reduction Group met on October 16, 2019 and discussed several ongoing and new items of importance to Ontario CPA members. This was the first meeting attended by Ontario Regional Director, Marcelline Riddell, as a new RRG member. The CPA is suggesting some improvements, in collaboration with the TSSA and RRG members, to make the meetings more effective. PTI - Propane Training Institute

Free Access to CSA Standards
The CSA Group has launched an online platform that allows registered users free access to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) safety standards published by CSA Group referenced in federal TDG regulations. Users can now log into Communities of Interest and register to find the TDG View Access site here. New editions of standards CSA B339, CSA B340, CSA B341 and CSA B342 are effective since December 31, 2018. The CPA holds a number of Equivalency Certificates on behalf of its members and are available on the CPA website.
