Environment and Climate Change Canada will be hosting a webinar series to provide a better understanding of the requirements under the Environmental Emergency Regulations (E2 Regulations, 2019). Following the publication of the revised guide for reporting dangerous goods incidents on the web, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Directorate is hosting a webinar on Part 8 – Reporting Requirements on March 3, 2022 at 2 p.m. ET. Technical Safety BC has issued Directive D-GA-2021-02: Special venting system and type BH venting system termination clearances, pursuant to section 30 of the Safety Standards Act. The CPA and the Association québécoise du propane are requesting that authorities having jurisdiction consider the reimplementation of an Hours of Service Exemption program in Quebec in response to the current wave of COVID-19, the restrictions currently in place, and the implications of severe weather events. Manufacturer PIP Canada has recalled its Dyna-One Energy Absorber Lanyard with identified manufacturing dates between October 2018 and June 2021. Models outside of this date range are not affected. The CPA and Propane Advisory Council members continue to work on Technical Standards and Safety Authority issues.
