The CPA requested Transport Canada extend the PRV extension allowance that was previously provided during the pandemic due to the continued backlog of PRV replacements and supply chain difficulties.

The CPA is pleased to announce that the Baker Risk study is complete and supports the industry’s claim that E2 Plan requirements are too restrictive for propane. Current regulations implicate residential and small farm applications and are a costly burden to the use of propane.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Nova Scotia Technical Safety (TS) Division of the Safety Branch announced they are seeking comments on adopting the most recent editions of the technical safety codes contained in the Technical Safety Standards Regulations.

The CPA along with Propane Advisory Council members met with Technical Standards and Safety Authority on Oct 5, 2022. 

Canada’s transportation regulators have agreed to delay enforcement of the federal electronic logging device mandate by an additional six months, until Jan. 1, 2023.
