In an effort to harmonize with international dangerous goods requirements, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations (TDGR) are being modernized to the latest international codes and American U.S. 49 CFR.

British Columbia recently announced new regulations requiring the use of electronic logging devices. The government stated that in an effort to make transportation by road safer, it is aligning with federal requirements and using the approved platforms on the Transport Canada website.

The Alberta government has posted new STANDATA bulletin 20-GCB-001: Engines and turbines.

The update includes changes to the variance required. 

The Technical Standards Safety Authority is in the process of migrating Elevating and Amusement Devices and Ski Lifts Safety Program to its platform already in place for Fuels, Boilers and Pressure Vessels and Operating Engineers. This system upgrade will take place through February 28, 2023. Customers of all safety programs (Fuels, Elevating and Amusement Devices, Ski Lifts, Boilers and Pressure Vessels, and Operating Engineers) who have plans to submit requests or applications were urged to do so after February 28, 2023. For more information, contact TSSA.

Another update is expected to follow shortly and will include guidance on credit transfers.
