Savannah’s rich history, culture and southern ambiance provided the perfect venue for the 2014 GMIS International Conference! More than 290 attendees and nearly 40 sponsors/exhibitors enjoyed the plethora of knowledge sharing, networking and educational opportunities packed into this year’s four-day conference. Stellar presentations by Thorton May, Dan O’Conner, sponsors, and our own GMIS members provided invaluable knowledge and skills to deploy in our workplaces as we strive to meet the IT challenges of 2014 and beyond.
Conference attendees hit the streets of Savannah for IT tours of the City of Savannah Data Center, Emergency Operations Center and the Port of Savannah to gain new technology insight into the practical and real-life technical world that we live in as techies and managers. We also enjoyed night time excursions to some of Savannah’s most haunted venues, the Moon River Brewery, and our Savannah River dinner cruise.
Kudos and thanks to the Georgia GMIS Chapter, our conference attendees, sponsors, and CMP Management for your contributions in making the 2014 Savannah Conference a huge success!
Hope to see everyone in Newport in 2015!
