Michael Blanchard, City of Augusta
Benjamin Brengman, City of Garden City
Will Lyons, Paulding County
Cam Mathis, City of Savannah
The Georgia Chapter of GMIS International and The University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government partner to provide an educational opportunity for today’s Information Technology Public Sector leaders in Georgia. This strategic collaboration has been in place for more than 15 years and provides training every six months, in the Fall and Spring. The IT Leadership Program (ITLP) is the training foundation that deepens Georgia GMIS members’ understanding to their careers. After successfully completing 60 contact hours in management and technical educational sessions covering competency areas relevant to today’s environment, as well as a written project report, Georgia GMIS attendees become ITLP graduates.
"Those who receive the ITLP designation become more than program graduates. They become part of The University of Georgia’s alumni community, new members of the Bulldog Nation" stated Dr. Sherri Lawless, public service faculty member with the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
"We are proud to welcome these four individuals to our list of graduates since 2003. The ITLP recipients demonstrate their commitment to leadership in public service in addition to the adaptive needs in technology. Georgia GMIS is excited for the success of these graduates, and is developing more public sector IT leaders for tomorrow" mentioned Eugene Rudy, President of the Georgia Chapter of GMIS International.
