NJ Annual Conference a record success

The New Jersey GMIS 7thAnnual Technical Education Conference attracted record numbers of attendees and vendors, as well as generating record funds for the Educational Foundation. The one-day event had 200 participants and 43 sponsors. This was NJ GMIS’s most successful event in their history. NJ GMIS has developed an outstanding relationship with their vendors, who were delighted with the success of the conference
The Conference held on April 7 at the Palace in Franklin, NJ featured Libby Spears as the keynote speaker. Libby gave a well received presentation on generational differences in recommendations on how to deal with co-workers both older and younger than yourself.
There was a balanced mix of sponsor led and IT professional led educational sessions offered in the areas of Security, Management, Public Communications and Specialty Applications. Each session was packed with attendees, who were eager to hear about the topic and take ideas back to their respective agencies. Some examples of the sessions offered were Tracking Cyber Threats, Leading Disruption, Transforming Storage in Government and Making the Cloud Work just to name a few.
