Debbie Hackman-Bartlett, CAE Contributes to Video Honoring Dr. Alice McKane
Debbie Hackman-Bartlett, CAE helped contribute to the Georgia Women of Achievement's honoring of Dr. Alice Woodby McKane (1865–1948); you may view the video here. Graduating in 1892 with a medical degree, Alice moved to Augusta to become a resident physician and nursing instructor at the Haines Normal and Industrial Institute. At that time, she was the only black female physician in Georgia.
