Greater Houston Disaster Alliance Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund
Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by Hurricane Beryl. The Greater Houston Disaster Alliance (Disaster Alliance), has established the Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund (Fund). This Fund will support individuals and families affected by the severe weather, winds, and aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. The Fund will complement regional efforts by providing grants to local nonprofits to provide emergency financial assistance, home repair, and resource navigation services.

AGC Houston Safety Excellence Awards Applications Now Open
The AGC Houston Safety Excellence Awards recognize construction companies demonstrating leadership in safety management. Award recipients are recognized by their peers for promoting safe work practices, superior safety cultures, and overall safe performance.
Any AGC Houston Specialty Contractor (Subcontractor) Member may apply or may be nominated by a General Contractor. All submittal instructions must be followed.
Entry requirements include:
Subcontractor/Specialty Contractor Large: Over 200,000 man hours
Subcontractor/Specialty Contractor Small: Under 200,000 man hours
Submittal Instructions:
Submit no more than a one-page typed statement (no marketing materials accepted) describing why the company’s safety program deserves an award, along with this form, to Kim Mason at kim.m@agchouston.org
Submit all materials no later than the close of business AUGUST 19, 2024.

Ray Lambright Excellence In Safety Award
The AGC Houston Safety Committee established this award in 1993 to honor and recognize Ray Lambright, Olshan Companies, whose career spanned more than 37 years and was instrumental in instituting many of the safety training programs and policies we follow today.
Who Can Be Nominated:
AGC Houston Members may nominate an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and a personal commitment in directing their company’s safety and health program in advancing the safety of all construction workers. Nominations may be submitted by the individuals’ companies, their peers or associates. This award is intended to recognize company safety directors, however, other individuals who have provided significant leadership in improving construction safety can be considered by the awards committee.
