Approximately 3,000 workers work on-site every day, and up to 20,000 construction workers went through a mandatory safety orientation before being allowed on the job.
According to Tressler, ExxonMobil has invested in safety training for thousands of workers, with includes a mandatory eight hours of orientation for employees who work on site and five hours of C3 (Construction Career Collaborative) training. He also spoke about the logistics of a massive work force and the difference between their commercial and industrial construction projects.
To date, the company has logged 22 million work hours and seven out of 14 buildings have been completed. Beginning in January 2015, Tressler said that a new building will open every two weeks. In May, ExxonMobil released a statement that if had achieved more than seven million work hours without any injuries. "Safety is our number one priority," Tressler stated.
