Education/Training
To develop the tools needed to build Lean, AGC has developed the Lean Construction Education Program (Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7). Construction professionals at all experience levels learn the building blocks necessary to transform their projects and companies into a Lean operating system.
Topics include variation pull in production, the Last Planner® System, lean supply chains and assembly, lean design/ pre-construction, and problem-solving principles.

This session will build on the Liens and Bonds speech with an advanced discussion of liens and how they are enforced. Adam Delk has joined JE Dunn Construction Company as Vice President, responsible for project planning, strategic planning for the business unit and client relations. Delk has managed the planning and construction of many large-scale projects, primarily healthcare related. He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's of science in construction science and a minor in business.
Delk is a member of the Rice Design Alliance, Construction Owners Association of America, and American Society for Healthcare Engineering and has been actively involved with the Christus Foundation for five years.

Congratulations to AGC Houston's Jerry Nevlud, President/CEO, who celebrated 15 years with the chapter on Friday, May 15. A University of Texas graduate, Nevlud worked with the Marek Family of Companies prior to joining AGC. He currently serves as President of the AGC Executive Leadership Council and is completing a leadership program with the American Leadership Forum/Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter.
Of his leadership, AGC Houston Chairman Bill Scott, Linbeck Group, LLC, stated: "Jerry Nevlud has grown into a leader who is respected both in our local community and nationally for his leadership. His enthusiasm and attitude makes him the perfect man to lead our association. All of the board members are comforted with Jerry’s tireless efforts to support this association and our industry.
