Recipients will receive an HAC Safety Award Certificate to display proudly. Names of the 2017 recipients will be announced and on display at the HAC 23rd Annual Conference Awards Luncheon Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Vancouver.
Safety Certificate Criteria:
A Pilot may be eligible for an award for periods of 5,000 accident and violation-free flight hours. Flight time earned during previous military service is eligible however the majority of time must have been flown within the civilian industry. For purposes of determining eligibility, the pilot must not have been a cause factor in an accident. A pilot may only be nominated by a member company’s chief pilot or a person in an equivalent position. Certificate will be issued in increments of 5,000 hours.
An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) may be eligible for an award for violation-free periods of five years during which the AME has not been a causal factor in an accident. Previous time with a military organization is eligible however the majority of time must have been within the civilian industry. An AME may only be nominated by a member company’s maintenance director or a person in an equivalent position. A certificate will be issued in increments of five years.
