Lyle Watts of Heli-College Canada was awarded the 2018 Agar-Stringer Award for his life-long contribution to the Canadian helicopter industry.
Lyle graduated from the University of British Columbia as an earth sciences major, specializing in mineral exploration. He trained with Transwest under the instruction of Neil Hart, and then Ed Philips for his instructors license in 1978.
For most of his career he has devoted himself to the flight training community and has about 13,000 hours with 9,000 hours of instructing. He is endorsed on the Bell 47, 206, 204 and 212, and Hughes 300, R22 and 44. Congratulations, Lyle!
