This session will explore the issue and scope of substance abuse in the workplace. Participants will also investigate the roles, responsibilities and duties of employers when assisting employees with substance abuse problems. Participants will finally look at tools and strategies to help them accommodate the substance abusing employee and help them assure a successful return to work.

Medical marijuana use on the job may pose a safety threat and needs to be considered on a case by case basis.
