HR Florida (Virtual) Student Games Case Competition & Leadership Conference
2020 HR Florida (Virtual) Student Games Case Competition and Leadership Conference
Given the current situation, the 2020 Student Case Competition will take place virtually, utilizing Zoom. Presentations are to be pre-recorded, and judges will view and critique the presentations during the HR Florida Leadership Conference on October 23 & 24.
In this “realistic job preview” competition, team members will leverage knowledge acquired through their studies and apply it to a realistic HR situation likely to be encountered in the work world. This competition requires integrated HR thinking, ethical decision-making, and strong communications and presentation skills.
Teams will be provided with a business case study 2 weeks before the event. Each team will analyze the case study and come up with a solution, preparing both a written executive summary and PowerPoint slides to be included in a 15-minute Zoom presentation to be submitted prior to the event. A panel of judges will view the presentations, and a short question & answer session via live Zoom will follow at a scheduled time.
Two levels of competitions will be held – an undergraduate and a graduate division. Prizes will be awarded to the top team of each division.
