Open Doors International Student Census and U.S. Study Abroad Survey Now Open!

The 2016 Open Doors International Student Census and U.S. Study Abroad Survey are now open and available at www.iie.org/surveyforms.  

 

The International Student Census captures information on international students enrolled in U.S. colleges and universities in fall 2015.  The deadline for completing the International Student Census is Thursday, March 3, 2016. 

The U.S. Study Abroad Survey collects data on U.S. students studying abroad for academic credit from fall 2014 through summer 2015.  The deadline to complete the Study Abroad Survey is Thursday, March 10, 2016.

The compilation of data published in Open Doors is only possible with the assistance of international education and other higher education professionals at accredited institutions throughout the United States who voluntarily provide their data for aggregate reporting in Open Doors. If your institution does not currently participate in the surveys or needs to update contact information, please contact us at iieresearch@iie.org or fill out our Update Contact Form and we will gladly add your institution to IIE’s Open Doors database.

Open Doors is the key resource on international students and scholars in the United States, and U.S. students studying abroad. The Open Doors report is published by the Institute of International Education. IIE has conducted an annual statistical survey of the international students in the United States since 1919, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs since the early 1970s. We are excited to announce that the Open Doors team will be conducting webinars to answer questions about both the International Student Census and U.S. Study Abroad surveys.  These webinars are designed to discuss the content and process of completing the Open Doors surveys and to answer any questions institutions have about participating in the surveys.  The webinar for the International Student Census will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM (EST).  Please register for the register for the International Student Census webinar here.  The webinar for the U.S. Study Abroad survey will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM (EST).  Please register for the register for the U.S. Study Abroad Survey webinar here.  If you have questions in advance for either survey, they can be submitted here.
